Search engines show ads for websites that look like official Thai government visa or immigration sites but are actually commercial services charging 2,000-5,000 THB for processing that the official government site offers for free or at a fraction of the cost. These copycat sites use official-looking logos, Thai government color schemes, and domain names like 'thailand-evisa.com' or 'thai-visa-online.org.' They collect your passport details and credit card information. Some do actually process a real application (at a huge markup), while others simply take your money and card details. The official Thailand e-visa site is evisa.mfa.go.th.
